NORM COYNE - Executive Producer
Meet Norm Coyne. Norm is originally from Princeton BC where he developed his love for film and comics at an early age. Norm has lived in Prince George since his teen years and he is an alumni of both College of New Caledonia & UNBC University of Northern British Columbia. He is currently the owner of The Scene PG arts & entertainment magazine and founding director of UNLTD Media & Events which he started this past August.
Norm spent several years at the Prince George Citizen as a media account manager where he won several national awards for the projects he led. It was during this time that Norm and frequent collaborator Kyle Bachman (Northland Dodge) jumpstarted celebrity appearances in Prince George with a live signing by Georges St-Pierre at Northland Hyundai.It was based on this success that Norm founded the Citizen Special Events division. The GSP event was a catalyst which led to other appearances by Kim Coates and Ron Perlman as part of an initiative with Alex Huber and the British Columbia Northern Exhibition.
During the 2015 Canada Winter Games, Norm led the team at the after hours club venue Cariboo House (Cariboo Brewing) which saw 17 nights straight of entertainment including Aaron Pritchett, Cabral "Cabbie" Richards, SkiiTour, Mat The Alien, Chris Buck Band, and other Canadian entertainment favorites.
In 2015, Norm created the wildly successful entertainment expo Northern FanCon with Dave Smith and Kyle Bachman. The event tripled in size in a single year and has seen thousands of fans attend since. During this time, Norm has worked alongside fan favorites like William Shatner , Tia Carrere , LeVar Burton, Jay Mewes, Official John de Lancie, Giancarlo Esposito, Denise Crosby, Madison Smith, Amy Manson, Brett Dalton, Candice Patton, Veronica Taylor, Isaiah Mustafa, Justin Rain, Michael Hogan, Jeremy Palko, Michael Coleman, Gigi Edgley, Paul Amos Mark Meer, Kris Holden-Ried, Garrett Wang, Robert Duncan Mcneill Jewel Staite and more.
Since 2012, Norm has produced a number of short films alongside filmmakers Chad Magnant, Michael Kroetsch & James Douglas including Defenseless, PigBoy, Through Blood Like Ice, and Stalking. In 2014, he was a grant recipient of the Public Records program through which he produced and directed the music video for “Come Down” by Jer Breaks. Most recently, Norm wrote and produced Final Breath - Short Film with writer/director Kim Feragen as part of the STORYHIVE program funded by TELUS.
Norm is no stranger to making big things happen. He is thrilled to be part of this life changing project.
